Playsuits: 5 ways to style

When in doubt, a playsuit (otherwise known as a romper) is one of the easiest things to fall back on. Like a dress you don't really need to worry about which top goes with which pants. You can throw on a playsuit and dress it around however you like. You can wear them with or without cute patterned tights depending on the weather. It's as easy as 1-2-3!

#1 Keeping it casual

Patterned playsuits are already the main focus which means you don't really have to worry about anything else. Keep everything else simple so throw on a denim or khaki jacket, a pair of comfy flats, sneakers or brogues and voila! You'll be looking cute whether it's for a picnic, a bike ride or a casual date.

A little bit of sunshine

When the sun shines in Winter, you can't help but take inspiration. I've been wanting the Zara skort for so long, I originally wanted the skort in white but there were no sizes left in store for white. That being said, when I saw the yellow I absolutely fell in love. It just reminds me of Spring and Summer and it makes me happy when ever I see the bold bright yellow.

Seeing as I was so inspired by Spring, I decided to post up another Spring/Summer outfit. I kept it simple and feminine.

Hey guys, I'm currently on break so hopefully I can write more on the blog while I can! Although I'm not going to admit that I have too many shoes I am  going to say I want more! These three are currently on the top of my list and regardless of the obsessive need for them I am going to wait. EOFY sale is just around the corner and it may pay to be a bit patient.

2: Windsor Smith Lily fisherman sandal (white leather) $89.95
3: Tony Bianco Goss ankle boots (white capretto) $189.95

Denim Shirt: 6 ways to wear

I'm not sure if you guys have noticed but I have an inclination to turn to my denim shirt when I'm in a rush to get dressed. It's such an easy and reliable piece to throw on. I've worn it all through Winter to Spring and now back to Winter again and it's an item I've grown very attached to. There are so many ways to wear a denim shirt and I thought I'd just show you guys a few ways that I'd style my denim shirt. It is almost every season friendly, almost. I think Summer may have to be the downfall of a denim shirt because it retains heat pretty well and retaining heat is the last thing you want on a scorching hot day.

Watch your tone, Missy!

I've been getting bored accessorising the same metal tones together, especially during days where I feel that my outfit is looking a little blah and jazzing it up with jewellery was the only option. I kind of ventured into multi-tonal metallics and I'm currently obsessed! I used to think that mixing up different metallics looked a tad tacky but now I realise that just keeping it simple makes a huge difference! I started off with simple combinations such as:

Silver with Gunmetal
Watch:
DKNY ceramic watch (white/silver)

Bracelets:
Gunmetal spike from ebay (gunmetal)
Skull bangle from ebay (gunmetal)

Rings:
Sportsgirl Lightning ring (silver)
Lovisa Love ring (silver)
Lovisa midi thick patterned midi rings (silver)

Golden Girl

As we are heading into a chillier season, it is only normal for one to feel a bit nostalgic. During summer we yearn for a cooler change, and when we do get the Winter we wished for we start craving for that warmth of the sun again. When you get into a bit of a black outfit rutt, as I find myself more inclined to be on colder days, I encourage you to grab something bold (and maybe metallic) and it will instantly transform what could've been a very dark and dull outfit, into something different and stand out. I know this outfit isn't 'Fall/Winter friendly', I'll promise to start posting warmer outfits up soon :)

Ready to Rock?

Sometimes we all just want to leave the house feeling a little badass, and what screams more badass then some studs, spikes and that black sheen of leather? Lace is Golden

All That Lace was created to provide a platform for me to express my opinions, and share my fondness of fashion to food and everything in between. Although I will mainly use this for outfit blogging and the occasional recommendation of an amazing Melbourne culinary experience, it will not be limited to that. I plan on sharing beauty tips I've learnt and maybe introduce makeup trends as well.

On the Edge of Chic

If anyone asks me "What is your style?" when it comes to choosing my closet, I'll often admit that I don't have a straight answer. It's difficult for me to answer with just one word. I wear what I feel like according to my mood, the weather, the occasion and I don't really stick to a certain type of 'style' because I love following trends. Seeing what new ideas come out every season influences my thoughts on fashion and expands my horizons.

Style to me isn't just dependent on how you dress a certain way each time because one day I might be feeling girly and the next I'm up for something a bit more grungy. A person's right to creative style shouldn't be restricted, which brings us back to the question "What is your style?" so I guess after all, I do kind of have an answer. My 'style' isn't definitive. I don't think anyone's style is and if it is, it doesn't have to be so don't be afraid to try new things. You might just find your new passion ;)
