I've been getting bored accessorising the same metal tones together, especially during days where I feel that my outfit is looking a little blah and jazzing it up with jewellery was the only option. I kind of ventured into multi-tonal metallics and I'm currently obsessed! I used to think that mixing up different metallics looked a tad tacky but now I realise that just keeping it simple makes a huge difference! I started off with simple combinations such as:
Watch:
DKNY ceramic watch (white/silver)
Bracelets:
Gunmetal spike from ebay (gunmetal)
Skull bangle from ebay (gunmetal)
Rings:
Sportsgirl Lightning ring (silver)
Lovisa Love ring (silver)
Lovisa midi thick patterned midi rings (silver)
Gold with Rose Gold
Watch:
DKNY Gold Plated Crystal half bangle watch (gold)
Bracelets:
Sportsgirl pyramid spike bangle (rose gold)
Sportsgirl (Butterfly Foundation) charity hope bracelet (pink/gold)
Rings:
Sportsgirl ring (gold/part a of pack)
Heart ring from ebay (rose gold)
Colette diamante ring (gold/part of a pack)
When I felt more confident I experimented and now have found my two favourite combinations:
Gunmetal with Gold
Watch:
DKNY double toned diamante watch (gunmetal/gold)
Bracelets:
Gunmetal spike from ebay (gunmetal)
Forever New diamante crusted spike bracelet (gold/part of a pack)
Rings:
Sportsgirl ring (gold/part a of pack)
Colette diamante ring (gold/part of a pack)
Silver with Rose Gold
Watch:
DKNY ceramic watch (white/silver)
Bracelets:
Sportsgirl skull bracelet (rose gold)
Diamante centred bracelet from Art's Centre Melbourne Market (silver)
Rings:
Sportsgirl ring (silver/rose gold/part a of pack)
Sportsgirl ring (rose gold)
Other tones that I love together are gunmetal with rose-gold! I'm not a fan of silver with gold, however I have not ruled them out completely. I might still try to play around with them later and find that I've changed my mind! I highly encourage you guys to experiment and work out which tones you like together, it's fun and easy and you've got nothing to lose!
Which tones do you like best?
